Rev Selion Karoba is the second son, the third child of Rev Ki’marek Karoba Tawy, one of the 9 founders (first baptised members) of the Evangelical Church of West Irian (Evangelical Church of Irian Jaya, Evangelical Church of Indonesia – GIDI).
